Comprehensive Vision and Eye Health Examinations
Regular eye exams are an invaluable tool in maintaining healthy eyes by detecting and preventing disease.  Some diseases develop slowly without causing pain or vision loss. Early detection of any problems can reduce the risk of further harm and allow for a choice of treatment options. The entire exam process can take an hour depending on the complexity of the problem. Each patient will be evaluated with a refraction, slit lamp, intraocular pressure, dilation, and a retinal exam.

Pediatric Eye Care
We take pride in maintaining the vision of our younger patients in an environment that is lighthearted and fun. We want to ensure good vision and eye health for the rest of your child’s life, which is why we take a preventative approach with their eye care. Besides glasses, we offer myopia management options that help to slow the progression of myopia in our young patients. Please note, we are NOT a children’s eye specialist, so we do not have the proper tools to perform a full comprehensive exam on a child younger than 5 years old. If you are looking for a referral to a children’s eye specialist, we are more than happy provide you with that information.

Contact Lens Exams and Fittings
Thanks to the advances in optical technology, almost everyone is a candidate for contact lens use. This includes patients with astigmatism and those who prefer multifocal options. At our office, we offer an array of contact lenses to suit each individual patient’s needs. We offer fittings for daily disposable lenses, extended wear soft lenses, and gas permeable contact lenses. For patients that are interested in myopia management for their children, Dr. Lim does consultations and fittings for OrthoK lenses.

Optomap Ultra-Widefield Retinal Photography
Regular detailed examination of the inside of the eye – the retina, is critical to eye health. Doctors use a number of techniques to examine the retina including looking into the eye, usually after dilating and the use of special cameras for imaging inside the eye. We know that many eye diseases occur or begin at the outer edges of the retina, so examining this area is extremely important. In a single, quick shot, the optomap camera produces photos of about 82% of the retina. These images provide superior visibility of the retinal periphery allowing us to see, document, show you, and follow pathology that could not be seen with traditional eye cameras. We highly recommend retinal imaging for ALL of our patients, regardless of age or health status.

Intense Pulsed Light Therapy (IPL)
OptiLight by Lumenis is a light-based, non-invasive treatment done on the areas below the eyes to manage dry eye. It is the first and only light therapy that is FDA-approved for dry eye management. The treatment includes 4 sessions that will be spaced 2-3 weeks apart, and has a global fee of $2000, which covers all sessions. This treatment is not covered by insurance but is HSA/FSA eligible. For more information, grab a flier from our front desk or ask your eyecare provider during your next exam.
